Over the years I have slowly managed to string together a handful of different projects spanning across a broad range of multimedia... Each project has its own unique requirements, target audience, theme, visual style, platform as well as a bunch of whole other lesser variables and factors that eventually influnce the overall outcome of that particular project.
As an artist, My personal approach to each and every project is individual but the beauty is that the more projects you undertake, the wider range of skills and techniques you can develop....truthfully some of my projects have never seen the light of day beyond a rough scribble on the back of a flyer....other projects sit in the depths of binary code anxiously waiting for me to return to bring them to a glorified state of completion. The select few projects that do get completed are intricately crafted together over a lengthy period of time, often being my collaborated projects. I find working in a team helps sustain the momentum of these projects....Ideas work best when actively bounced around between the minds of different creatives and its through this collective brainstorming that the ideas become a strengthened concept.
Sometimes it is those unfinished projects that can hold the most relevant information as to how to advance your current projects. More often than not I have found myself scouring through endless test files of animations/assets etc to deconstruct and re-work into an applicable and relevant technique or workflow. Remember to always look back and reflect on the ingenuity that went into your past projects and use what you have to be able to push your current projects to be the best they can be because if there's one thing I know about Artists, it's that we will always look at previous work and think to ourselves 'ohh man I wish I'd done this that way'..... Now is your chance to push those skills and make this project the best one so far....
I aim to dedicate this site to some of my more polished projects as I begin to elaborate on my techniques and workflows. I will also highlight errors and problems I encountered along the way as I understand that we all come across them and they can be slightly annoying so its always good to show solutions and explanations too.
Enjoy my work and if you have any questions please feel free to head over to the Contact section and send me a message and I will be happy to get back to you.
